For fifteen years, she worked as a teacher in the Pleasanton Unified School District in northern California, where she taught math at Hart Middle School. In 2010, she and her family moved to Silverton, Oregon, and Inga began teaching grades seven and eight at Silver Crest School, a small K-8 school near Silver Falls State Park. In 2015, Inga changed roles when she became a counselor at Blanchet Catholic School, serving students in 6th through 12th grade. When Mountainside High School opened in 2017, Inga and her family moved to Beaverton, and Inga’s husband John became the head football coach at Mountainside, where he is also a teacher. Last year Inga taught math at St John Fisher in Portland. Inga also taught math during the summer at Lake Oswego High School. Inga and John have been married for twenty-eight years; they are blessed with four children (two sons and two daughters) and a one-year-old granddaughter! Inga enjoys reading books, being outdoors, watching the Minnesota Vikings, and playing with her two cats, as well as her basset hound named Homer.
